A commanding innings of 104 from Lizelle Lee, struck in 58 balls including six sixes, took Surrey Stars to their first Kia Super League title with a 66-run win against Loughborough Lightning at Hove.
Surrey’s total of 183 for six was their highest in the competition. The Stars then bowled out Loughborough for 117, the 19-year-old Mady Villiers finishing her four overs with three for 22. Only three of the Lightning’s top six could muster double figures in a disappointing response.
