
After taking over a subway station
in The Bronx and the
streets of DUMBO, that Joaquin Phoenix Joker movie has continued filming around town this month in an effort to transform the city into a gritty '80s montage. We already knew from the official logline that the movie "is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale," but we didn't realize the filmmakers would take that last part so seriously. According to reports, extras were locked on a subway car for several hours during filming recently—to the point that some started peeing on the tracks. [
