Police have arrested the "hipster" who allegedly desecrated two angel statues outside a Williamsburg church, tracking him all the way to his Bushwick home. Andrew Oshesky, 28, has been charged with two counts of criminal mischief as a hate crime, two counts of criminal mischief for property damage, aggravated harassment, and public urination. But this accusation has a broader history in the United States, having been used against several religious minorities—including Muslims like Omar.
