New $300-a-week unemployment benefits coming soon, California officials say

Millions of Californians who are out of work during the COVID-19 pandemic will soon receive a $300 weekly supplemental unemployment benefit starting retroactive to Aug. 1, state officials said Monday.

But this accusation has a broader history in the United States, having been used against several religious minorities—including Muslims like Omar.
